Dr. Martina Saeid received her M.D. in General Medicine from 2nd Medical Faculty at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic in 1995 followed by Residency Program and M.D. in Internal Medicine in 1998 and Specialized Diploma in Internal Medicine in 2010. She underwent training in clinical nutrition, obesitology, diabetology and endocrinology.
Dr. Martina has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of settings, including community hospital, tertiary University Hospital Motol in Prague, Czech Republic, maternity hospital Danat al Emarat Hospital Abu Dhabi, bariatric and obesity clinic, outpatient clinics, medical ICU, and in all subspecialities of internal medicine.
She has a special interest in clinical nutrition-malnutrition, obesity and weight management, and weight-related health complications as metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis, then thyroid disorders and other endocrine problems.
Prior joining NMC Royal Women’s Hospital, she has worked with Danat al Emarat Hospital, Abu Dhabi for 5 years and has extended her experience in obstetric medicine - pre-pregnancy counselling and optimazation of medical disorders, management of variety of medical conditions, as well as specific medical disorders and their complications related to pregnancy (gestational diabetes, thyroid disease, elevated blood pressure, anemia, and others) and post-natal follow up of ongoing or complicated medical disorders.
